Drawing from over 25 years of musical artistry, Mario Bakuna is recognised as one of the leading figures in the UK’s Brazilian jazz scene. His music blends traditional Brazilian rhythms, samba, jazz and bossa nova with refined contemporary influences, bringing fresh interpretations to the works of legends including Tom Jobim, Dorival Caymmi, João Donato and Baden Powell.
Originally from Brazil and now based in London, Mario has toured across more than 20 countries, performing at internationally renowned festivals and venues throughout Europe, Brazil, Canada, Taiwan, Egypt and beyond.
